The Kings Centre staff team see to the daily implementation of the strategic plan in the areas of faiths related training and community development.
The Revd Mark PoulsonIn 2014, Mark was appointed as the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Secretary for Inter Religious Affairs and the National Advisor for Inter Religious Affairs to the Church of England. Prior to this Mark was the Vicar of St John’s Church, Southall for 11 years, where he and his family still live. Southall is an extraordinarily diverse area of West London with flourishing relationships across different faiths and communities, and Mark has been instrumental in fostering these relationships. He has also been involved nationally in the Church of England's Presence and Engagement Programme as a long-standing member of its Task Group, and sits on the Board of Near Neighbours. He is also actively involved in training provision at the Kings Centre.
Peter TatePeter provides faiths related training at the Centre, both face-to-face and in digital format. Previous roles include alphabet development for a then unwritten language in Ghana, West Africa. Afterwards in England he provided training to prepare people to take up such language development roles, and also trained others on how to provide training for this within their own area of expertise. He has a Master’s degree in Cross Cultural Theology and has recently also completed a Master’s degree in Digital Education on the topic of developing digital training to prepare people for encounters with different faiths and cultures. Peter is a native of Northern Ireland where he experienced first-hand some of the challenges arising from faith and culture there.

Elizabeth FewkesIn her previous role, Elizabeth worked with asylum seekers and refugees in Bradford and before that she and her family lived for a time in Pakistan and very much enjoyed the richness of living with other cultures and building relationships. Elizabeth now works for Near Neighbours and covers West London. She is passionate about seeing community members come together for better understanding of one another and to do something meaningful to impact their communities. Elizabeth strongly believes that the people living in their neighbourhoods are the ones best placed to identify some of the challenges facing their community and indeed the solutions to help change the situation.
