Near Neighbours Co-ordinator
The Kings Centre Southall is a place for cross-cultural and inter-faith learning, engagement and transformation in the local community, the national church and wider society.
The Kings Centre partners with Near Neighbours, a programme initiated by the Church Urban Fund to bring people together who are near neighbours in communities that are religiously and ethnically diverse, so that they can get to know each other better, build relationships of trust and collaborate together on initiatives that improve the local community they live in.
The Near Neighbours Coordinator is critical to the delivery and oversight of Near Neighbours grants and training programmes for local communities in the West London region, deepening and strengthening key relationships, and ensuring project development for existing projects.
We are looking for someone who will promote involvement in Near Neighbours through visits to local community groups, multi faith forums and other groups, appropriate publicity and links with the media, public speaking, and making presentations to raise awareness of the need to make associations.
The successful candidate is likely to have a suitable and demonstrable level of experience in a faith and/or church based community development role, and working in multi faith contexts and skills in cross cultural communication.
If you feel you meet the above criteria, then we would love to hear from you!
